A new cowl for the spring !

Je crois bien que ce col est de loin mon préféré. C’est la 3ème fois que je le tricote et ce avec toujours autant de joie et de plaisir. Vous l’aurez compris, je parle bien sûre du :

I really think this cowl is so far my favorite one. This is just the third time that I knit it and still with with such pleasure !

J’avais offert les deux autres mais celui-ci, je me le garde ! J’ai utilisé à peine moins de 2,5 pelotes de Drops Népal couleur beige clair. Je dois avouer que lorsque j’ai vu ce beige un peu poudré, j’ai craqué, je devais le prendre pour me faire ce col ! J’avais besoin d’une couleur claire qui illumine le visage pour préparer le printemps.

I’ve offered the two others but I really wanted one to myself ! I’ve used a little bit less than 2.5 skeins of Drops Népal, colour light beige. I have to confess that when I saw this colour, I’ve just fell in love at the first sight ! Look this little powder effect, I had to buy it to knit this cowl ! Plus, I really needed a light colour to get ready for the spring.

J’aime sa simplicité, son petit côté technique juste assez pour ne pas s’ennuyer mais tout en restant très simple et puis j’aime qu’il puisse convenir aussi bien à un homme qu’à une femme !

Je n’ai pas fait de modification cette fois-ci, j’ai monté 58 mailles en provisional cast-on avec des aiguilles de 6mm et fait 4 répétitions du motif. J’ai bien sur utilisé la technique du Kitchener stich pour fermer le col. Vous pouvez bien sur monter les mailles normalement et faire une couture classique pour contourner cette « difficulté » technique !

I love this simplicity, this technical side but not too much, just enough to not be bored and I do love the fact that it’s unisex. My man got one and he loves it !

I didn’t make any modification this time, I’ve cast-on 58 stitches using provisional cast-on method with needles US 10 and made 4 repeats of the pattern. I’ve used the Kitchener stitch technical to sew the col but you can of course cast on and sew it in a « normal way ».

Une chose est certaine, c’est que ce col est vraiment chaud et parfait pour ce début de printemps bien frais !! Il ne me quitte plus depuis plusieurs jours !

Well, one thing is sure, this cowl is so warm and cosy, really perfect fot this spring so cold that we have now !
