Le Rendez-Vous Atelier Crochet avec Bergère De France !

Oui je sais, ça fait un bail que je n’ai rien écrit ! C’est qu’il s’est passé beaucoup de chose et que j’ai été très occupé mais je te rassure, je n’ai pas chômé ! J’ai tellement de chose à te raconter et à te montrer !! Si tu me suis sur ma page facebook, tu sauras que j’ai terminé le bonnet Everglade, les pull Mandel et Smoulder, le top #4 de la collection printemps été 2013 de Bergère de France, j’ai aussi commencé un nouveau cardigan et un nouvel ouvrage au crochet, quasiment terminé les coutures de la veste zippé de mon père et visitée la filature de Bergère de France à Bar le Duc ! Bon alors comme je n’ai pas les photos de tout (encore), sinon cela aurait été trop beau mais je vais déjà commencé par te montrer les photos de l’évènement « Le Rendez-Vous Atelier Crochet » que j’ai organisé en partenariat avec Bergère de France chez Une mère une fille à Paris. L’évènement date un peu mais tant pis, je te le montre quand même parce qu’il était top ! ♦♦♦♦♦ Oh my God ! That’s been a while since my last post ! I’ve been so busy that I have so many things to tell you and to show you ! If you follow my facebook page, you already know that I’ve finished the hat « Everglade » a long time ago, finished too 2 sweaters (the Mandel and The Smoulder), a new top of the last spring – summer collection of Bergère de France, almost completed the sewing part of the zipped cardigan for my father, started a new cardigan and a new crochet item and visited the Bergère de France Spinning mill in Bar Le Duc ! When I told you that many happened ! So first let’s start with the event « Le Rendez-Vous Atelier Crochet » that I’ve made in collaboration with Bergère de France. They offered 2 skeins of coton « Sonora » and 1 crochet to each participants ! How cool is that ?! Once again, the even take place to the lovely coffe tea shop Une mère une fille à Paris ! Enough blah, let’s see the photos ! Sur chaque table se trouvait une petite pile de pelotes « Sonora », un crochet pour chaque participante, une carte Bergère de France et un modèle de dessous de verre à faire ! Tu l’auras surement reconnu, c’est le modèle des dessous de verres du billet « A little bit of improvisation« . ♦♦♦♦♦ On every table, they were some skeins of coton Sonora, a crochet and a business card of Bergère de France of course, plus a pattern of coaster to crochet. I’m sure you would have recognize it, that the pattern of my previous post « A little bit of improvisation« . Les plus expérimentées ont aidé les débutantes à apprendre à crocheter et autant dire qu’elles ont tellement aimé, qu’elles sont vite devenu accro ! La fièvre du crochet ne les lâche plus ! ♦♦♦♦♦ The experts have helped the crochet newbies, all that I can say now is that they are all addicted to crochet ! They got the fiever of the crochet ! J’aimerais encore une fois remercier Bergère de France pour l’envoie de pelotes et de crochet !! On a juste ADORE !! Merci aussi à toutes les participantes présentes qui ont contribué à rendre cette journée très agréable de par votre enthousiasme et votre bonne humeur ! Sans vous, les évènements comme ceux ci n’auraient pas lieu ! ♦♦♦♦♦ I would like to thanks again Bergère de France for the yarns and the crochets !! We just loved it ! Thanks too to everyone present this day who contribute to make this event amazing with you smile and your enthusiasm ! Without you, event like this one won’t happen ! Comme beaucoup d’entre vous, cela fait plusieurs mois que je me prépare et trépigne d’impatience à l’idée d’aller à l’évènement de l’année, je nomme : Like many of us, it’s been a few months that I’m getting ready and hopping up to the idea to go to the event of the year, I mean : le salon de l’aiguille en Fête ! C’est quand même le lieu idéal pour voir, toucher de la laine que l’on ne trouve que difficilement sur internet, rencontrer de nouvelles personnes, bref c’est « the place to be » que l’on ne doit manquer sous aucun prétexte. This is the ideal place to see, touch some new yarns, some of them that you can only buy on internet, to meet new people too, well this is the place to be that we can’t miss ! Mais je suis encore plus excitée à l’idée de vous annoncer que je serais présente pour vous accueillir durant deux jours sur le stand d’In The Loop !! I’m even more thrilled to announce you that I will be present to welcome you during two days at the « In The Loop »‘s stand ! Atelier de tricot islandais : Part II / Icelandic Knitting workshop Part II

Dans mon précédent billet «Atelier de tricot islandais avec Visit Iceland Part I », je vous ai parlé de l’histoire du tricot islandais et de la conception des lopi. In my previous post « Iceland knitting wokshop with Visit Iceland : Part I » , I’ve wrote about Icelandic knitting history and the sweaters named Lopi. Durant l’atelier, Christine (trÍScote) nous a présenté la laine islandaise de la marque Ístex et sa magnifique palette de couleurs. Je ne suis pas une spécialiste de cette laine, ne l’ayant tricoté pour la première fois qu’à l’atelier mais je vais essayer de vous en parler. During the workshop, Christine (trÍScote) introduced us the Icelandic wool from the yarn company Ístex and his wonderful wide choice of colours. I’m not a specialist about this yarn, I just knitted for the first time at the workshop but I will try to wrote about it. Les couleurs / The Colours La couleur n’est pas vraiment unie, ni tout à fait chinée. Ístex mélange et mixe plusieurs couleurs ensemble au moment du cardage pour donner un « Golden heather » ou un Bleu Vert par exemple. Une fois le cardage terminé, la laine sera filée et l’on obtiendra des pelotes. This is not a solid colour but not even a bicoloured wool. Ístex melt and mix different colours together during the carding process in order to get this kind of colours. That’s how they got a Golden heather, a burnt orange or an artic exposure blue. Once the carding done, the fiber will be spun and here’s what will be get this skeins. Les laines / The Yarns : Álafosslopi : C’est la laine bulky de la marque. Elle se tricote avec du 6 ou 7 mm. C’est une laine chaude et légère parfaite pour les pulls destinés aux activités extérieures. This is the bulky yarn. You can knit it with needle’s US 10 or 7mm. This yarn is warm and light, perfect for the outdoors activities. Léttlopi : C’est la laine worsted. Elle se tricote en 4.5 mm. C’est une laine chaude et légère, parfaite pour faire du jacquard et que l’on peut porter en intérieur aussi bien qu’en extérieur. This is the worsterd weight yarn. You can knit it with needle’s US 7. This yarn is warm and light, perfect to do some Fair-Island design and you can wear in for indoor or outdoors activities. Plötulopi : C’est la laine mèche de la marque, on peut réaliser des pulls plus léger et plus souple qu’en utilisant la laine Álafosslopi en la tricotant avec des aiguilles 5 mm. Si la laine mèche casse durant le tricot, ce n’est pas très grave car on peut facilement la raccorder grâce à la longue fibre qui la compose. Cet effet peut être parfait pour faire des dégradés qui se fondent entre eux ! This is the unspun yarn. We can knit it with needle’s US 8 and make some lighter sweaters than using Álafosslopi. If the fibers broke, that’s not a big deal at all. You can easily joined the yarns because the fibers is really long. This way, we can do some wonderful shades ! Einband : C’est la fil dentelle de la gamme ! Il se tricote allant des aiguilles 2 1/2 mm jusqu’à 6mm selon le rendu souhaité. On peut faire de superbe châle avec ou même des pulls très légers. Ce fil change du tout au tout au moment du blocage, l’échantillon s’avère vraiment nécessaire ! This is the lace weight yarn of Ístex. You can knit it with US 1 1/2 to US 10, it all depends of your project. This is the perfect yarn to knit light and beautiful shawls or even some sweaters if you want too. You will have to washed it and blocked before in order to get the exact gauge, so yes, a swatch is a necessary thing if you want to knit a sweater with this one. Mes impressions / My feelings : Je ne vais pas vous mentir, ce n’est pas la laine la plus douce à tricoter mais ce n’est pas non plus la plus désagréable. Évidemment, je vous déconseille de passer de la mérinos super douce à la léttlopi, le choc risque d’être terrible ! Je dirais que cela ressemble à de la Holst Garn Supersoft en ce qui concerne les sensations de tricotage. Elle n’accroche pas les aiguilles mais ne glisse pas non plus. I’m not gonna lie to you, this is not the softer yarn ever but not really even the most unpleasant. Of course, I would not recommend you to knit it right after the softest merino ever. If ever you do it, that will be a great shock to you ! If I had to compare it with another yarn, I will tell it looks like the Holst Garn Supersoft. I felt it was quite closed, it doesn’t stick to the needles but does not slide neither. Au début, il est conseillé de porter sous le pull un top en coton car la laine peut un peu gratter. Mais le bon côté est que cette laine s’adoucit au lavage et absorbe notre lanoline. A force de le porter, on pourra même le mettre à même la peau. At the beginning, it’s strongly recommended to wear a coton top under it because the yarn can be a little bit scratchy. But there is 2 good things about this yarn : It’s getting softer once it’s washed and this yarn absorb our lanolin so more you are wearing it and softer it’s getting ! One day, you will wear it on a bare-naked skin and you won’t even noticed it. Some Extra ! Si tu rêves de ressembler à Scarlett Johansonn dans le film « Un nouveau départ », tu peux tricoter le même pull qu’elle ! C’est le modèle Aftur d’Ístex que tu peux télécharger gratuitement sur leur site. If you dream to be like Scarlett Johansonn in the movie « We bought a Zoo », you can knit the exact replica of her lopi ! That’s the design named « Aftur » and you can download it here for free ! Et si tu as aimé ce film, tu as forcément aimé la musique qui est signé du leader du groupe islandais Sigur Rós ! If you loved that movie, you had loved too the soundtrack features by the leader of the Icelandic band Sigur Rós ! Si tu dois lire un auteur islandais, je te conseille « La cité des Jarres » (Mýrin) d’Arlnaldur Indriðason qui a aussi été adapté au cinéma par le réalisateur Baltasar Kormákur sous le nom « Jar City ». And if you want to read an Icelandic writer, I will recommend you « Jar City » (Mýrin) of Arnaldur Indriðason who also was adapted into a movie directed by Baltasar Kormákur. ———————————————- Une fois encore, merci à Aimee de L’Oisivethé pour nous avoir accueilli et à Visit Iceland pour avoir initié ce projet.
