Light and delicate, that’s how I will describe this scarf ! When I first saw it, I knew that I will knit it by then I just didn’t know when or even if this scarf would be for me or a gift. Then sometime before christmas, I just knew. That would be the christmas present of my mother in law ! Yes I know, christmas is now so far behind but what can I say, I’m just a little bit loooooooot late ! Don’t be scare of the lace part, this is so simple. All that you have to know is how to do a YO and K2tog. The real challenge, if I may say, is to knit kidsilk ! I’ve used only 2 skeins of kidsilk by Drops pour knit it. This scarf is so light and warm, this is just perfect for the season. Finally, this is a good thing if I’ve just finished it a few weeks ago. Well yes, it took me some time, alright weeks to block it. I knew that was for a reason ! So here’s my modification to the pattern but don’t worry, that’s not much ! I’ve casted on 62 sts instead of 46 sts because I really wanted it more wide than the original and I’ve made 22 repeats of the lace chart instead of 16, actually for this one, I’ve just knitted until I ran out of yarn. I didn’t want to sew some mother of pearl buttons or made any eyelets on the edges to not weight it down. Wisp by Cheryl Niamath Skill Level : ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Yarns : Kidsilk by Drops Colour : # 21 2 skeins / 436 yards - 398.7 m Needle : US 8 - US 13 / 5mm et 9mm

♦♦♦♦♦ Take the time to meet to knit with a cup of tea and a piece of cake… Last saturday, I’ve organised my third « Rendez-Vous Tricothé », the second at Une mère une fille à Paris ! We were 8 to share a really pleasant moment around our knitting work, to share advices, to learn new technical, to work our ball and chain’s project, just to go on on our new knitting work or if you’re alike me, just to frogged some ranks because I’ve made some mistakes ! My smoulder is not ready te bo finish if I keep going this way ! ♦♦♦♦♦ This place is going to become one of my favourite place in Paris to knit with friends. The tea is really good (I strongly recommend you Thé Belle and Thé des Nanas), the place is cosy and really calm, you can even hear a songbird as track. There is a little shop space but the best, a room for the children and only for them ! They can play and have fun safely while we are eating a cake and drinking some tea with friends. Well, I still don’t have a child but some of my friends do… ♦♦♦♦♦ I still don’t know when will take place the next Rendez-Vous Tricothé but I can’t wait to make one ! That will be this month, in April for sure and maybe will we be discovering a new place ? Keep posted on my Facebook page for the next event !

Yukimi is coming from the last Twist Collective winter 2011. It is constructed from crown to brim with DPN needles. I’m really fond of circular’s one but working leaf lace motif with magic loop can be really tricky. I love this beanie, this colour but it doesn’t fit me ! It’s too small, too tight and when I’m wearing it, it looks like a swimming cap ! That’s because I’ve chosen the wrong yarn for this pattern. There is a certain lack of body… Well I guess that I just have to knit it again with another yarn !
