It’s been one year since this 100 gr skein of mohair (colour eucalyptus) was in my stash, one year to keep wondering what will be the perfect project for this yarn. My friend Krumel from the Ravelry’s French-speaking group « Papote et Placote » give me the inspiration that I was looking for so long. This snood is so simple that I’m still wondering why I did not thought about it sooner ! All that you have to do is to knit in round, do some ribs and decreases and that’s about everything. I’ve used 96 gr of the mohair from Atelier Yarn (Mme Yoshie Shichiji) and I knitted it with US 8 and US 10 needles. I love the subtil colours variations of the hand dyed yarns. That’s unfortunately very difficult to photograph and we can’t really see on this shoots. You can easely replace this yarn with Kidsilk of Drops but you just will have to held the yarn in double, 4 skeins will be necessary to knit it. This is a quick project to knit, it only takes 2 or 3 evenings while watching the TV. This is a real great last minute Xmas project to knit for your friends or family ! I’ve intended to knit one for my mother in law with blue kidsilk. This photo shoot takes to the shop Alefil in Paris 17eme. Merci encore à Amandine / Vidibio pour les photos Thanks to Amandine / Vidibio for the photo shoot. Covet by Kim Hargreaves Skill Level : ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Yarn : Mohair - Atelier yarn - Colour Eucalyptus 96 gr - Needle : 5 et 6 mm / US 8 - US 10

It was about time, the English version of the pattern « Origami Snood » is finally available. That’s the perfect last minute crochet gift to do for Xmas ! You can crochet it in few hours. The pattern is free and you can downloaded it here : Origami Snood English version by Yoshie Shichiji Skill Level : ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I’ve used american crochet terms to write it. I hope the translation is good, if not, don’t hesitate to tell me in order to correct it. To replace Atelier yarn, you can use 2 skeins of Kid Silk for a small cowl or 4 skeins for a long cowl and crocheting with holding the yarn in double. I will be glad to see yours ! Happy crocheting time !!

Burberry Inspired Cowl Neck Scarf by Julianne Smith Once again, this cowl was a real pleasure to knit. It requires a little bit of practice because you have to use the provisional cast on then the Kitchener stitch‘s technical. This way, you could have a better finishing touch and no one will never see any sewing line. However, if you can’t do it, you can easily get around this difficulty by cast on like you normaly do and sew as usual. Malabrigo Worsted Colour Garden State 100% merino 4 répétitions du motif / 4 pattern repeats 182m / 199.5 yards Aiguille : 6mm / US 10
