Finally after few weeks of rain, the sun is coming back ! I’m so happy that it is the perfect moment to show you this little colourfull top of Bergère de France. I never have to drop a stitch before or at least not being fully aware ! I have to confess that I wasn’t really very confident about it. All that I could think about was : Will I let the wrong stitch fall ? Finally, everything was going great !! Hopefully for me because I still don’t know if I would have the courage to pick it up. ♦♦♦♦♦ There is 2 negative points about this pattern, I think the body is too short even after having add some lenght. Maybe I will make it longer in adding a ribb band. The cowl is too large too. I’ve followed the pattern according to my size for this point but it still too big. I did some sewing stitches but not enough though ! Sometimes, you don’t why, you’re doing the swatch but can’t have the right gauge ! Well that’s exactly what’s happened with Ecoton from Bergère de France. Why am I telling you this ? Because that’s the reason why I miss the sleeves ! I couldn’t get the right gauge so I’ve modified the sleeves and now, they are too width. You can clearly see this trapezium form at the end of the sleeves. Well maybe that would not have done that if I did follow the pattern instead of « improvising » it… What do you think, do you like this top ? Summer Time top #3 - #4 Bergère de France catalogue Printemps été 2003 Size M 5 skein of Ecoton of Bergère de France - 710 yards / 650 mètres. Colour Curcumin Needle size : US 7 - 4.5 mm
