J’en rêvais, je l’ai fait et en plus il est rapidement devenu mon petit panier déco au crochet préféré ! J’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à le faire et le motif point étoile est vraiment très facile à faire. Au lieu de faire deux petites hanses, j’ai choisi de réaliser une petite bordure bleue pour donner un touche de couleur à ma chambre. Non seulement, ce panier est simple et élégant mais en plus il est vraiment très pratique pour y entreposer mes petits encours du moment ainsi que mon petit matériel de tricot – crochet. Pour le réaliser, seulement 3 pelotes de Drops Eskimo suffisent, 2 pelotes de la couleur principale et 1 pelote pour la couleur bleue. De plus, c’est un petit projet parfait pour des débutantes car non seulement c’est très rapide à réaliser mais en plus on utilise un crochet #6 ! My Star Crochet I dreamed about it and I did it ! I love it, it fits perfectly to my new bedroom. You will understand, I’m in love with my new favorite home decoration basket. I really enjoyed to crochet it, the stars motif is very easy and fun to crochet. Instead of crocheting two hanses, I decided to make a blue border to add some colour to my bedroom. This basket is very simple and elegant but it’s also very practical to stock my little WIP and my little crochet and knit equipment. To crochet it, you will need of 3 skeins of Drops Eskimo, 2 for the main colour and another one for the contrasting colour. If you’re a crochet beginner, I will strongly recommand you to do it ! It is fun and quick to do, only a couple of hours with a #6 – J – 10/0 crochet ! Xmas decoration #1 : Mister Snowman

Durant le mois de décembre, Drops organise un atelier de Noël et propose pleins de petites décorations à faire au crochet ou au tricot et j’ai craqué sur le petit modèle du bonhomme de neige. Trois couleurs différentes, deux petites brindilles pour les bras et le tour est joué ! During december, Drops organize a Xmas workshop and propose some little decorations to crochet or to knit and I’m really very fond of this little snowman. Three differents colours, 2 little twigs instead of arms and that’s it ! « Snowman » by Drops Skill Level ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Je ne lui ai pas encore fait sa petite écharpe mais ça ne sera tarder ! Le modèle est vraiment simple et c’est assez rapide à crocheter en une soirée le modèle est fait ! Par contre j’apporterais quelques petites modifications au patron initial pour simplifier et l’améliorer : I stills haven’t knit his little scarf but it’s just a matter of time. Pour ce faire, monter 4 mailles et tricoter 2 rangs en orange, 2 rangs en marron, alterner jusqu’à avoir une petite écharpe de 20 cm de long. J’ai eut quelques petites difficultés à faire le nez, crocheter sur seulement 4 mailles et y faire des diminutions n’est pas des plus simples, surtout en 2,5mm ! La prochaine fois, j’essaierai de le faire en Icord. I will knit his little scarf in garter stitches instead, I do rather the look of garter stitches, it is more flowing and lovely. Anyway, I had some difficulty with the nose, to crochet 4 ch and made decrease was quite hard, specially with an US 1 ½ hook. C’est peut être parce que je n’ai pas pu plonger dans la mer cet été que j’avais désespérément besoin de bleu. Pour palier à ce manque, j’ai décide de faire le modèle : That’s maybe because I couldn’t dive into the sea this summer that I desperately needed of blue. So in order to make up for this lack of sea, I’ve decided to knit this pattern : « Rosebud » by Jared Flood Skill Level : ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Le modèle est très agréable à tricoter pour ne pas dire addictif et monte vraiment très vite ! Le patron est très bien écrit et très bien présenté, j’ai adoré la technique de Jared Flood quant aux augmentations et aux diminutions qui sont cachées dans les torsades les rendant invisibles ! This pattern is really lovely and quick to knit, to not say very addictive !! That’s incredibly well written and edited, I’m very fond of Jared Flood’s increases and diminution’s techniques who are hidden in the cable making them invisible ! J’avais 2 pelotes de « Népal » de Drops qui trainant dans mon stock et qui trainait depuis trop longtemps. Parfait ! Niveau métrage et échantillon, cela convenant parfaitement, ou du moins presque ! Pour faire la version slouch, il me manquait moins d’un tiers d’une 3ème pelote ! Ni une, ni deux, j’ai couru à l’Atelier réapprovisionner mon stock pour pouvoir terminer ce projet et tricoter (bientôt) un snood assorti. I had 2 skeins of Drops « Nepal » in my stash who needed a project to be used. That’s was it ! The yardage and the gauge matched or at least almost perfectly ! I missed about 1/3 of a third skein in order to knit the slouchy version. So I run into my local store (l’Atelier) to fill up my stash to finish my hat and to knit (soon) a cowl to go with it. Encore une fois, j’ai monté les mailles en utilisant la méthode du « Twisted German Cast On » qui va devenir, et de loin, ma technique préférée ! Once again, I’ve used the « Twisted German Cast On » method who’s going to be my favorite one’s ! Cette laine est agréable à porter mais elle est peut être un peu « molle »comparée à la Brooklyn Tweed Shelter. J’ai l’impression que le slouch s’affaisse un peu plus que sur les photos du patron. Est ce que cela vous fait cela aussi ? Je n’ai malheureusement pas encore de photos portées, mais je ne désespère d’en avoir très bientôt ! This yarn is soft and cosy but maybe is a little bit wimp when I compare it with the Brooklyn Tweed Shelter. I have the feeling that my slouch is slumping more than on the design’s photos. Did you notice that too with the Nepal from Drops ? I still not have any photos of me wearing it but I’m sure I will have some soon ! En Novembre, j’ai eut envie de tricoter mon premier pull. J’avais envie de douceur et de chaleur pour un pull tout léger et agréable à porter. J’ai pris le temps de choisir ma laine, trouver la bonne matière, les bonnes couleurs qui m’inspireront… In November, I wanted to knit my first sweater. I was looking for softness and warm for a very light sweater, so smooth to wear. I took time to choose my wool, find the good fiber, the colour who would inspire me… Garnstudio Drops Alpaca couleur Gris Perle #4010 et Vieux Rose Anglais #3800 Mais je ne voulais pas le commencer sans faire d’échantillon. Beaucoup n’aime pas les faire mais pour moi c’est différent, je le vois comme un préliminaire, une première danse avec mon projet. I didn’t wanted to start it without doing a swatch. Lot of knitters do not like it but for me, that’s different. I just see it like a foreply, a first dance with my project. Je peux tester la laine, I can test the wool, Avant blocage aiguille 3.25 mm / US: 3 Before washing La voir changer I can see it change Après blocage / Once Blocked – Se mettre en place comme par magie. Taking place just like magic. Mais ça me sert aussi à mesurer ma tension, compter mes mailles et mes rangs, définir mon numéro d’aiguilles. Pour me souvenir de la taille d’aiguille utilisée, je fais des jetés et des mailles envers. (3.25 mm : 3 jetés + 1 maille envers) But it use me too to know my gauge, counting stitches and rows, define my needles size. To remember wich size I used on swatch, I’m using YO and Purl technical. (US 3 : 3 YO and 1 Purl) Aiguille 3.50 mm US:4 Chaque échantillon est unique, reflète un projet, une idée… Mon pull peut enfin commencer…. Each swatch is unique, reflect a project, an idea… Then the sweater can start… Gauge : 4×4 inches US 3 – 28 1/4 stitches x 38 rows US 4 – 22 stitches x 30 rows
